Hoyt Denver CASTO
Funeral services for Hoyt Denver CASTO, 47 year old son of Elza CASTO of Ripley,  were held from the home on 7th Street Tuesday afternoon and the body was taken  to the SOUTHALL Cemetery for burial. The Parsons Mortuary had charge of  arrangements. Mr. CASTO died in a Charleston hospital Sunday after being rushed  there in the Parsons ambulance early Sunday morning. He had been ill for some  time. Surviving are the father, Elza CASTO of Ripley; one son, Harold .. CASTO  of ........; sisters, Mrs. Flossie BALSER and Mrs. Wade SOUTHALL, both of  Ripley, and five brothers, Howard, Park, Warren, Clair and Vaught CASTO, all of  Ripley. Icie CASTO

RIPLEY - Icie CASTO, 107, of Ripley died April 13, 1999, in Eldercare Nursing Home. She was a midwife, a homemaker and a member of Falling Water Church and Plainview Church. Surviving: daughters, Mary Miller of Ravenswood, Alice CASTO of Evans, Mabel Horn of Kentuck, Leonra Persinger of Kenna; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Alonza-CASTO Cemetery with the Rev. Billy CASTO officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Goodwill Community Church. Isadore C. CASTO

Funeral services for Isadore Crayton CASTO, 89, who died Thursday morning (August 4, 1960) at the home of a son, Orville Clive Casto in Ravenswood, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chambers Funeral Home.  The Rev. Paul Bell will officiate with burial to be in the Casto Cemetery at Fairplain. Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services.  Born Feb. 10, 1871, in Jackson County, he was a son of the late Jacob and Celia Winters Casto.  He was a member of the Fairplain Methodist Church and the IOOF at Ripley. He had been a farmer most of his life.   Surviving him are a daughter, Mrs. H.O. (Pauline) Powers, Parkersburg; two sons, O.C. Casto, at whose home he died, and Otis Kerwood Casto, Portland, Ohio; and a brother, the Rev. Homer Casto, Weaverville, NC. Mr. Casto was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Anna Kerwood Casto, in 1950.

Iva M. Doughty CASTO

STATTS MILLS - Iva M. Doughty CASTO, 104, of Statts Mills died May 7, 1999, in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, after a long illness. She was a member of Sinaiville United Methodist Church, was a housewife and a midwife. Surviving: sons, Ottie D. and Basil O. CASTO, both of Parkersburg; sisters, Opal Rhodes of Ohio, Anabelle Rhodes of Pocatalico; 13 grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Sinaiville United Methodist Church, Statts Mills, with the Rev. Johnny White officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, and one hour prior to service at the church. (Charleston Gazette, May 8, 1999)

James B. CASTO
Funeral services for James B. CASTO, 84 year old farmer of Rockcastle, who died  Saturday at his home, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Mt. Olive  church. Burial was in the church cemetery with the Mays Mortuary in charge.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Renna CASTO, a son, Oak CASTO of Dunbar, and  three daughters, Mrs. Ella CASTO of Paradise, Mrs. Lona BARNETT of Rockcastle, and Mrs. Mossy SMITH of Huntington. James B. CASTO
James B. CASTO, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. B. CASTO, was born July 14, 1856,  departed this life Feb 1, 1941, age 84 years, 6 months and 27 days. He was  united in marriage to Miss Mary M. GOODWIN, Oct 6, 1878. She preceded him to the  great beyond March 26, 1929. On the 10 May 1932 he was united in marriage to  Mrs. Lorania BAILES. He was affiliated with the Protestant Methodist church at  Big Pine many years ago. (Herald, 14 Feb 1941)

Janet E. CASTO

POINT PLEASANT - Janet E. CASTO, 57, of Point Pleasant died Jan. 30, 2000, in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio, after a short illness. She was a homemaker. Surviving: husband, Roy R. CASTO; son, Harmon of Point Pleasant; daughter, Amanda Rose CASTO of Point Pleasant; sister, Barbara Bonecutter of Apple Grove; two grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Deal Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, with the Rev. Bobby Wood officiating. Burial will be in Apple Grove Memory Gardens.
