William D. CASTO
Aug. 9, 1925 -- Aug. 31, 2000 William D. CASTO Sr., 75, of Modesto died Thursday at Memorial Medical Center. Mr. CASTO was a native of Talihina, Okla. He lived in Modesto 48 years. He was an X-ray technician for Memorial Medical Center and Doctors Medical Center for many years. He was a Navy veteran. He is survived by his children, William David CASTO Jr. and Jacqueline Michelle Collins, both of Modesto; sisters, Geraldine White of Fresno and Martha Brown of Modesto; brother, Marvin Wright of Riverbank, and Bobby Wright and Paul Wright, both of Modesto; and two grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson, in charge of arrangements. William E. CASTO
William E. Casto, 75, died December 3, 2000. Retired General Motors in 1983 and was a WWII Veteran. Funeral Service 2:00 P.M. Thursday December 7, 2000 in RADER-MCDONALD FUNERAL HOME, West Jefferson with Reverend Joe Johnson officiating. Burial will follow the service in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, West Jefferson. William Harper CASTO
CASTO William Harper CASTO, 88, of Columbus, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother, retired from Ross Laboratories, died Saturday, January 12, 2002 at First Community Village. Bill was born on December 18, 1913 in Columbus, Oh. He was a graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School and The Ohio State University, a member of First Community Church and a 32nd degree Mason. He is survived by his two sons, The Rev. Dr. William H. (Jennifer) CASTO, Jr. of Columbus, OH and The Rev. Dr. R. Michael (Sally) CASTO of Delaware, OH; five grandchildren, Shelly (Kevin Fish) CASTO, Trevor W.P. (Sara Paullin) CASTO, Dana A. CASTO, Andrew M. CASTO, and Daniel J.W. CASTO; one great-grandson, Gabriel David CASTO Fish; his only brother, Robert J. CASTO; one sister, Doris E. Stamm; and several nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Laceryjette V. CASTO, his parents Albert Harper (Red) CASTO and Fannie Pearl Neal CASTO and his sisters Helen M. CASTO, Lillian F. Caldwell and Erla J. Sherman. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2002 at New Life United Methodist Church, 25 West Fifth Avenue with The Rev. Jennifer Kimball CASTO officiating. Family members will greet friends immediately following the service at the church where all are invited to a light luncheon. Interment will be at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family suggests gifts in Bill's name to The Ohio State University to support the William H. and Laceryjette V. William J. 'Bill' CASTO
William J. 'Bill' CASTO, 319 N. Peachtree, died Thursday afternoon, Aug. 23, 2001 at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. He was 75. A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated Saturday, Aug. 25th, 1 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Kenneth Armstrong, rector, presiding, assisted by the Rev. Steven Mallory, deacon. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery under the direction of the Trout Funeral Home. Born Sept. 3, 1925 in Tulsa, he was the son of Charles Franklin and Gula Cleo Edwards CASTO. His first home was at Three Sands and during the first 10 years of his life he lived in several of the oil boomtowns in the area. He graduated from Wolf High School in 1943. CASTO joined the U.S. Navy in the fall of 1943 and served in the Pacific Theatre as a radar operator and later as a photographer. After his discharge he was a freelance photographer doing aerial mapping and worked in studios until being employed as a reporter and photographer for the Seminole Producer. He worked for the Ponca City News for more than 20 years in a similar position. He also did freelance work with photography and was published in area, regional and international publications. He was also employed by Conoco for a period of time. He and the former Evelyn J. Renick were married Sept. 24, 1971. CASTO was active in the Seminole area Civil Air Patrol as a pilot and had served as head of the Seminole Disaster Unit. William Kelly CASTO, 69, of Charleston died June 11, 1999, at the home of his niece and her husband, Heartley and Sharon L. Anderson, caregivers, of Coopers Creek, of lung cancer. Bartlett-Burdette-Cox Funeral Home, Charleston, is in charge of arrangements. (Charleston Gazette, Jun. 12, 1999)
