Sharon L. BOGGS
SPENCER - Sharon L. Boggs, 55, of Spencer died Sept. 17, 1999, in Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after a long illness. She was an employee of Kellwood Co., Spencer, and attended Pleasant Grove Church. Surviving: mother, Ruby F. Walker CASTO of Spencer; sisters, Judy Barker, Connie Henson, Melanie Martin and Amy Beth Harper, all of Spencer. Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Garry Bowen officiating. Burial will be in Swank Cemetery, near Spencer. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. (Charleston Gazette)

Cora G. BONNETT

Cora Genevieve "Ginny" Bonnett, 67, of Cross Lanes died Aug. 26, 1998, at home after a long illness. Surviving: husband, Darrell G.; sons, Charles Bonnett of Kenna, David Bonnett of Cross Lanes; daughters, Barbara Fisher of Harrisville, Robin Bonnett of Cross Lanes, Penny King of Ripley; brothers, Arthur CASTO of Red House, Billy CASTO of Given, Troy CASTO of Robertsburg, Robert and Arnold CASTO, both of Worthington, Ohio; sisters, Vada Riffee of Red House, Elizabeth Warner and Velma Cochran, both of Leon, Thelma Blake of Eleanor; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Service will be 1 p.m. today at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron King officiating. Entombment will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Cross Lanes. George Bascum BONNETT

ROBERTSBURG - George Bascum "G.B." Bonnett, 64, of Robertsburg died Dec. 11, 1998, at home after a long illness. He was a former truck driver for Charleston Construction with 14 years' service, an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Teamsters, the West Virginia Laborers Union and the Kanawha Valley and Chemical Valley horsemen's associations. Surviving: wife, Alva Bonnett; stepdaughters, Leona Garnes of Kenna, Kimberly Donahue of Robertsburg; stepsons, Billy CASTO of Teays Valley, Johnny Ray CASTO of Buffalo, Rusty CASTO of Hurricane; stepfather and mother, Okey and Avalee Mangus of Charleston; sisters, Mary Dorsey of Charleston, Wilda Carnifex of Elkview; brothers, Sattis of Nitro, Darrell and Edison, both of Charleston, Jim of Winfield; six grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Raynes Funeral Home, Buffalo, with the Rev. Jerry Bonnett officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Given. Ella (CASTO) BOWLES
Funeral services for Mrs. Ella (CASTO) BOWLES, widow of Theodore BOWLES, were held at the Moss Chapel church on Sunday afternoon and burial was in the church cemetery. The J. B. Vail Mortuary had charge of the funeral arrangements. Mrs. BOWLES was born at Given on March 16, 1884, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. F. CASTO and spent her entire life of fifty-eight years in the community. She was widely known and was held in highest esteem by her friends and acquaintances. She had been ill for some time and succumbed at her home at Rockcastle last Sunday morning. Death had been expected members of the family said.  (Jackson Herald, Friday, 3 April 1942)

Elmyra CASTO BOWLES
Elmyra CASTO BOWLES, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. F. CASTO, was born March 16,  1884, departed this life March 28, 1942, aged 58 years, and 12 days. She was  united in marriage to Theodore M. BOWLES, August 30, 1902. To this union fifteen  children were born. The husband, three daughters and two sons preceded her to  the great beyond to await the coming of companion and mother.  Those surviving and left to mourn their loss are: Mrs. Oma CASTO, of Given; Mr.  Jennings BOWLES, of Rockcastle; Mrs. Mae BLANKENSHIP, of Mansfield, Ohio; Mrs.  Wretha TURLEY, of South Charleston; Mrs. Belle GUILLOT, of Silver Springs,  Maryland; Mrs. Hattie PATTON, of Nitro; Harmon, Erma, Velma and Marion, at home.  Also her father, stepmother, three brothers, one sister, five half-brothers, and  one half-sister, and a host of friends and relatives. Funeral services were  conducted by Rev. GARRISON and Rev. FISHER. Her body was laid to rest in the Moss Chapel cemetery. (Jackson Herald, Friday, 10 April 1942)

Daniel CARL

Daniel CARL, who died at his home Friday, February 3, was born on the 9th day of July, 1841, in Meigs County, Ohio. He was 80 years, 6 months, and 24 days old. Mr. CARL joined the Union Army at the age of 21 and gave two years of his life in the defense of his country. He was united in marriage to Miss Eliza BROWN, of Ohio. To this union were born nine children. Six children and the mother preceded the father to their reward. The children that are living are: Mrs. Callie GOLDEN, of Letonia, Ohio; Mrs. Christenia TRIBETT, of Silverton, and Mrs. G. B. CASTO of Ripley. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. M. PAYNE after which the body was laid to rest in the old Ripley Cemetery. (Friday, February 3, 1922)
